Jan and I walked along the Willamette on the Springwater Corridor. Called Sarah and Jonathan to meet us for lunch on the other side of the river via the new Tillicum bridge. These are kind of out of order, plus there are a couple of extra pictures from a while ago.
Under the Ross Island bridge.
Ross Island Sand and Gravel.
Sign reads: "No camping on the river". This is the beginning of the Corridor looking south the way we came.
Today was all about industrial landscapes!
Spirit of Portland dock at the east end of the bridge.
Coming back, Jonathan taking pictures.
All these taken with my iPhone.
Mt. Hood with lenticular cloud cover. Looking east.
Jan and Sarah walking back across the bridge.
Looking across to downtown.
They must be painting the Ross Island bridge (just south of the Tillicum bridge).
Jan and Sarah looking so flat in my hard-edge world.
The Marquam bridge. Looking north.
Starting back across the bridge.
Yeah I know but I like it!
Tweaked all these a bit to make them even flatter and sharper.
"Jan's left arm."
Police.
West side of the bridge.
Weird.. liked it better upside down.
Gravel area on the west side of the Willamette ready for new buildings.
Lovely painting.
Sarah's orange juice and foot.
Sitting waiting for Sarah and Jonathan for lunch... looking south. West side of the river.
Mt Hood.
The MAX lightrail train going across the bridge with us.
Jan talks to Sarah who is on her way! (East side of the bridge. Just starting across)
East side, looking north. MAX lines leading up to the bridge behind and to the left.
Oaks Bottoms on the way to the Springwater Corridor.
Warmer view.
Bonus pictures!
This is not from our walk. The view across the Willamette from Willamette View Manor in Milwaukee where my mom is. Taken a while back
Jan makes herself a peanut butter, raisin and banana sandwich.
